Here are a few things that are truly interesting in the MiUi 7--

System UIs

At the very beginning of the presentation, Hugo Barra shared that the Xiaomi MiUi 7 is "designed for you". What he meant by this was that you can customise your phone more extensively now. To begin with, there are four system UIs that Xiaomi will offer which you can set when you first set up your phone. These UIs are Rose, Pink Blush, Ocean Breeze and High Life.

Gallery

One of the things that looks significantly improvement in the new UI is the Gallery app. Xiaomi has added a face recognition feature in here, which enables users to automatically sort image of your baby and sort them all together. These photos can also be set as slideshow on the lockscreen. When the company showcased this feature at the China launch, they also demonstrated how the same software could help seggregate pets but the same functionality will take some time to be rolled out.

No child's play

Now with the MiUi 7, the Kids mode comes enabled on Xiaomi phones. For those unaware, this feature lets you define what your kids can and can't access while using the phone.

Ringtones are passe

Some people prefer to have personalized pictures and ringtones for their frequent contacts. Now with MiUi7 you will be able to assign videos to your contacts. These videos are short, 5 seconds to be precise. And everytime you get a call from the contact who has set up a video ringtone, this will play instead of your usual ringtone. Note, both the person calling and the one getting the call will have to be on MiUi7 for this to work.

Daily lockscreen image

You MiUi7 will show you a new image on your lockscreen, which will be automatically chosen from your gallery.

Themes

Xiaomi has always been gung ho about its Theme. In fact, the company has also prided about its Theme stores and shared how popular the Rajnikant and Diwali themes are in the Indian market. Now, in the new UI too plenty of new themes will be available to users. Even in these themes, there will be certain features that you can access right on the lockscreen. For example: the new Badshah theme which is dedicated to Shah Rukh Rakh, you will be to change the clothes o ..

Visual IVR

If you have ever used an IVR, you would agree they are frustrating and time consuming, but with MiUi 7 you are in for delight. Visual IVR shows the entire IVR menu on the screen and lets you navigate through the maze quickly. Currently it incorporates number of 50 companies only.

Smart SMS filter

This feature helps clear your inbox from all the promotional messages much like the TrueMessenger app.

Sleep peacefully

If you have a Mi Band, then the MiUi7 will pick it from the band when you are sleeping and automatically activate the DND mode on the phone.

It's time for Extra large Text

Xiaomi MiUi7 now supports an XXL font. The company has optimized the UI completely to make this font fit better on the screen, claims the company.

More languages supported

Xiaomi MiUi 6 supports six Indian language but now the number has gone to 10. The new languages added include Assamese and Marathi.

Data saving

Xiaomi MiUi7 is deploying the Opera Max's compression technology to enable data saving from the apps.

Quick OTP

MiUi7 makes it easier to make note of the OTP. First off ,in the notification bar the OTP gets highlighted and copying the same is also easy.

Leak shows Galaxy S6 Edge+ pre-orders start August 21

Leak shows Galaxy S6 Edge+ pre-orders start August 21

Samsung appears to have confirmed, likely by accident, that the upcoming Galaxy Note 5phone will indeed be joined by a curved model. The company's French site has a pre-order page for the "Galaxy S6 Edge+," as spotted by Samsung. It's shown with a Level Bluetooth headset in a bundle that will be go on order between August 21st and September 3rd. That means there's a strong chance it'll launch on August 21st and hit stores around September 4th. However, the dates could apply strictly to the bundle, and not the phone itself.
We'd take all this with some salt, but the dates do line up closely with earlier rumors about the Galaxy Note 5 -- according to the WSJ, Samsung wanted to release it ahead of Apple's iPhone 6S. The photo on the page matches an earlier leak, but it also looks exactly the same as a regular Galaxy S6 Edge. Other than that, there's not a lot of information about the device. It's rumored to be around 5.5-inches and have the same internals and, of course, curved screen as its smaller brother. You won't have to wait long to find out -- both devices should be revealed at Samsung's Unpacked event on August 13th.

And in a recent round of leaks, Samsung itself confirmed the launch of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus by putting up a photo of the curved phone on its French website days ahead of the official launch.

It also stated that the phone would be up for pre-order starting August 21. The company, however, later pulled the announcement page.
